Educational attainment

This indicator will aim to show the percentage of the population aged 25 years and older with educational attainment of at least NCEA level 2, or an equivalent level of education. 

Currently, we are using a proxy measure of educational attainment based on the qualifications of the population aged 15 years and older. 

Data for those 25 years and older will be available in August 2019.

of New Zealanders aged 15 and over achieved an upper secondary school qualification or higher in the March 2019 quarter.
